I have been designing and producing graphic projects for over 30 years with a
dedication to providing my clients with creative, effective, and functional pieces
designed for the needs and goals of their businesses.
My background includes a BS degree in advertising, fashion and costume design,
advanced studies in graphic design and promotion from Parsons School of Design
in New York and over thirty years in every aspect of the printing industry. I have
owned Tapestry Graphics since 1977 and have gained additional skills through the
technological transition from board-work to computers. I work in both Mac and PC
in order to provide clients with a full range of services. I have lived and worked in
Historic Guthrie, Oklahoma for nine years and am especially proud of the tourism
image I was charged with designing in 1998 for The Guthrie Chamber of Commerce.
In my view, the client is the very best guide to developing an image. It is my job to
interpret the needs of the client based on those guidelines utilizing my training,
experience and good taste to represent the client's public face in the best possible
light and to appropriately design a image that reflects the company as it is and as
it will be in the future.
Though I have specialized in Tourism, Retail and Medical related fields in the last
few years, one of the most interesting aspects of Tapestry Graphics is such great
diversity in the business world. There is always a new challenge where I can learn
and help develop new business directions in a target market environment.
A successful designer keeps a constant eye on the variety of applications that a
business may need. In print media, web design, outdoor advertising, copy writing or
publication work, the integrity of the logo/image must hold up and adapt.
Many of my clients require total image development and an ongoing use of the
logo/image throughout many applications. It is essential to good design to maintain
a unified image incorporating copy, photography, video, print and any other aspect
that leads to appropriate name recognition.
